We want to thank Escondido City Councilman, Mike Morasco, for his excellent, well-written opinion piece that appeared in the June 11 issue of The Times Advocate. (If you haven’t read it, please do!)
In addition we want to take this opportunity to express our 100% support for the entire Escondido Police Department (EPD) and especially for the men and women who serve as Escondido Police Officers.
The two of us have lived in Escondido for a total of 139 years between us and have always found the EPD Officers to be respectful and helpful!
We are also grateful for the leadership and wisdom of the EPD for providing ‘School Resource Officers’ who provideassistance and support to all of the schools in Escondido – public and private! In addition we must express our gratitude for the job the EPD does with neighborhood policing. When we need help, we don’t call a ‘social worker’, we call the Escondido Police Department.
Thank you to the EPD for seeing that Escondido remains a ‘rule-of-law’ city!
With respect and gratitude –
‘COACH’ DENNIS & DIANE SNYDER,
