Attention Michael Wu, Registrar of Voters
There is a discrepancy on information sent out to voters.
On the information page, under Section 2, it says to sign your ballot “like it appears on your driver’s license or identification card.”
On the return ballot envelope, it says “signature must match your voter registration record.”
As a former City Clerk, I am advising those that contact me (which have been many) to sign as they registered to vote.
In my situation these signatures are different. I sign my full name on my driver’s license. However, in registering to vote, I use my middle and last name only. If I were to sign my ballot with my full legal name, it would be not be counted as it would not match my Affidavit of Voter Registration.
This need to be clarified for the voters. I look forward to a response.
