KABOO 2016 will be taking place from September 16 – 18 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

This is the second year that KABOO will take over the fairgrounds to host hundreds of musical artists from all over the world, fantastic food and drink from various local venues, to feature local arts, comedy, and commit charitable contributions from the venues proceeds to local causes as they party endlessly over an entire weekend in September.

KABOO has quickly drawn the attention of the masses to their outrageously chill festival through their unique celebration of the arts and the people that inhabit this planet.

Without bias for style, genre, popularity, or taste, the founders of KABOO have developed this weekend of whiling to celebrate artistry in its many forms and promote a one-of-a-kind festival experience that has proven to quickly draw the attention of fans all over the country. With artists traveling from all across the globe to be included in this festival lineup, hundreds of thousands of attendees are expected to flock to the scene for a weekend of fantastic food, fun, leisure, and a variety of entertainment options.

KABOO was reported to replace the San Diego Street Scene (which was a popular celebration of culture and vibrancy back in the early 2000s that finally came to an end in 2009). Creators reflected on what made the lost event great and expanded the concept even further in order to shell out this great experience that celebrates the energy that makes Southern California the part of the world that everyone wants to visit.

Drawing individuals that appreciate a more relaxed party space, attendees get to observe this carousel of talent occupying seven stages around the fairgrounds from lounge spaces; including VIP areas designed to accommodate intimate couples, families and friends and garden seating.

Swarming with local talent, featured artists include Bang Pow, Almost Monday and more. Popular artists headlining for 2016 include Aerosmith, Macy Gray, Jack Johnson, Fall Out Boy, Goo Goo Dolls, Ludacris, Third Eye Blind, Cypress Hill, Gavin DeGraw, Flo Rida, Steel Pulse and DJ Savi.

More than a dozen comedians will be battling to provide the most laughter. Among them are Dana Carvey, Sarah Silverman, Cheech and Chong, Garfunkel and Oats, Sean Leary, and Dan Venti.

This year’s organizations include the San Diego County Surfrider Foundation, Voices for Children, San Diego Music Foundation, and The Armed Services YMCA.
