JZ style French Dip on Ciabatta bread



 

 

I love a great French dip sandwich for a quick, hearty meal. This recipe amps it up just a bit with the delicious garlic and olive oil base and horseradish mayonnaise sauce.

This is one of my favorite comfort foods that just absolutely makes me happy. I hope you enjoy this as much as my family does and it becomes a staple meal for you and yours.

Make as many as you would like for your guests and maybe even some extra for lunch the next day!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sliced roast beef (three pieces per sandwich)
Sliced Swiss cheese (two pieces per sandwich)
Ciabatta rolls sliced in half
8 garlic cloves minced
1 cup olive oil
1 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbl horseradish
Salt/pepper

For each sandwich, place each side of the Ciabatta

 

 

rolls face up on a baking sheet. Mix the garlic cloves and olive oil in a bowl. Spread half of the mixture on each side of the rolls. Bake for five minutes. Take out of the oven and place three slices of thinly cut roast beef on one side of the rolls. Brush each lightly with the remainder of the garlic and olive oil mix­ture. Layer two pieces of swiss cheese on top. Mix mayon­naise and horseradish together. Brush one side of the roll with the mixture and place the other half of the Ciabatta roll on top. Bake for approximately 6 minutes. Cut in half and serve. For the au jus, mix with water as directed on packet. Serve with the au jus and Enjoy!!
