John Trudell, 72

John William Trudell, resident of Escondido, California passed away on July 30, 2019 at home at the age of 72.

Mr. Trudell was born on July 4, 1947 in San Diego.

He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, Saint Augustine High School and graduated from San Diego State University.  He was a Certified Public Accountant in Escondido since 1985.  He served in the US Army at Fort Ord, California and Camp Casey, Korea.  He was a long time member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Hidden Valley Kiwanis, Business Leaders of Vista and Escondido Chamber of Commerce. 

He was loving, kind, and generous.

Some of Mr. Trudell’s hobbies included spending time with family and friends, singing with the choir, playing the guitar and working in the yard and on the house.

He will be missed by his wife, Cookie Comer, and his children, Andrew Trudell (Shannon), Chris Trudell (Kelly), Nickolas Comer (Patty), and Andrew Comer (Bridgett).  He will also be dearly missed by his seven grandchildren:  Casey, AJ, Austin, Chloe and Kiera, Kennedy and Benson. He was uncle to more than 26 nieces and nephews.

John’s siblings are Paul (Mary), George (Tesa), Margie, Bertha (Tom), and Rita (d).  He is predeceased by parents, Paul and Bertha, 1st wife, Mary, Sister Rita (sister), and Niece, Esther.

The Rosary for John will be at 7 p.m. on August 8, 2019 at Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church located at 7710 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa, CA 91942.

The Mass and Memorial Service is at Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 7710 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa, CA 91942.

Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities.

Interment will be at a date later in the month of August.

    My dearest Cookie: I am so saddened to hear of your loss of John..words can not express my feeling for you and your family and the entire Trudell family and work family. I send to you my love, and hugs and prayers to you and to everyone that John touched.. he will be so missed and his shoes can never be filled.. I hope you can fill your heart during this terrible time, with the memories that you and John had. It will forever carry you and the hole in your heart. He will be above helping you and your family with each and every breath that you take.. I am so sorry for your loss. He loved you sooo much..you were his reality and his strength.
