Note: We will have a more extensive article about the Grape Day Discovery Festival in next week’s issue, including an interview with Escondido History Center director Stacey Ellison. * * *
The Escondido History Center is gearing up for its big event of the year, the Grape Day Discovery Festival on October 1, 2–8 p.m. at the center, located at Grape Day Park.
The day will include raffles for Disneyland tickets, In-N-Out Burgers, gift cards, sporting event tickets and tickets to Balboa Park attractions.
There will be games, arts and crafts, a grape stomp (of course!), bake sale, dance competition, pie eating contest, beer and wine garden, and various forms of live entertainment. Bring your dancing shoes!
History Center Director Stacey Ellison describes the Grape Day Discovery as being “Kinda old but new again.” The festival is being held in October instead of September, the time when the event was held for many years.
The Escondido History Center is located in Grape Day Park at 321 N. Broadway, Escondido.
