High school students bring Christmas to ECCDC

Escondido Adventist Academy students and preschoolers from Escondido Community Child Development Center pose together.

High school students from Escondido Adventist Academy December 10 were excited to once again bring Christmas to their friends at the Escondido Community Child Development Center (ECCDC).   ECCDC is a non-profit preschool for children ages 4 months to kindergarten. ECCDC serves low-income households, the majority of which live in the Escondido area.

EAA has a long standing tradition of transporting their entire high school student body over to the ECCDC and providing the gift of Christmas to the kids there.  The high school students are matched up with a student at the center, and they take on the role of “Big Buddy.”  They bring a gift for the child, take them around to activity centers, and play with the children.  A special guest appearance from Santa Claus is always a highlight of the party.
