The Escondido Union High School District (EUHSD) celebrated nearly 1,600 graduating seniors with ceremonies at Del Lago Academy, and Escondido, Orange Glen, San Pasqual, and Valley high schools last week. Graduating seniors and their families enjoyed in person commencement ceremonies at each of the school campuses. In addition, the Escondido Adult School ceremony was held at California Center for the Arts Escondido on May 26, recognizing more than 40 graduates.
“We commend our graduating seniors on completing this important milestone and wish them continued success in the future,” said Supt. Anne Staffieri.
Leading up to graduation, schools recognized seniors at award and scholarship ceremonies, Commitment Day events, prom, and grad night, among other milestone celebrations.

The EHS yearbook has always been named “The Gong” in honor of this piece of EHS history. In the photo, Senior Joy Abdelmalak is seen ringing the gong for the final time for the EHS Class of 2022.
