The Hotlanta Dixieland Jazz Band is kicking off the 74th season (2019-2020) of the Hidden Valley Community Concert Association at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 22, at California Center of the Arts, Escondido.
HVCCA is celebrating 25 years of presenting concerts in the Center Theater at CCAE. Come enjoy the music of New Orleans and you will be able to select the songs played after intermission!
The second of five concerts will be October 20, when Quarteto Nuevo performs music of ancient worlds and faraway places. They will enchant the audience of all ages with their unique instrumentation (soprano sax, alto-flute, cello, acoustic guitar and hand percussion.
Golden Gates (dancers from St. Petersburg, Russia) with Moscow Nights (instrumental trio) on January 26, 2020 will entertain and educate all ages with dance, music, song, and stories of Russia.
On March 1, 2020 the City of Angels Saxophone Quartet, 25 years strong, and a Southern California legacy showcases the rich history of the saxophone. Their artistry, musicality, and technical mastery make this ensemble one of the best around.
The Civic Youth Orchestra, with members being from 5 to 22 years old, and from all over Southern California, will perform on May 4, 2020. They have been in existence for over 60 years and Beethoven will be 250 years old!
All concerts start at 2 p.m. and are on Sundays.
An adult season membership (five concerts) is $75 with children, students, and active military, plus veterans is $40. It gets even better… an adult plus one child/student costs $95.
