Dear Editor:
I appreciate reading Assemblywoman (Marie) Waldron’s weekly report on what she is doing for us in Sacramento. In fact, I would like to be reading what legislation all our local, state and congressional elected officials are supporting or opposing.
These types of articles are informative and helpful to the electorate and a better tool with which to judge performance than much of the nonsense that comes out during election time.
However, I’ve been puzzled why you are placing these self-promotions on your Opinion page and labeling them “Guest Opinion(s)”. In what sense are these columns “opinions”?
If I am to believe my dictionary, which I have come to trust, there is not a single sentence that includes an opinion by my count. As for actual opinions, I would welcome them, either the editor’s or those of your many readers.
But please, stop filling your Opinion page with non-opinions. They belong in another category.
