– Education in Escondido, Monday, May 11, noon-1 p.m. Speakers are Dr. Luis Rankins-Ibarra, Superintendent EUSD, and Dr. Anne Staffieri, Superintendent EUHSD. Topic is Distance Learning – The Escondido Districts Navigating the Challenges of COVID-19. – Special Economic Development Meeting, Thursday, May 14, 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Speakers are Jeff Rossman, president of the San Diego chapter of the California Restaurant Association, and Amber Tarrac, deputy director of economic development for the City of Escondido. Together they will be giving an overview and discussing the next steps the food and beverage industry will have to take to open during the next phases of the COVID-19 recovery plan. And specifically addressing the guidelines for restaurants and other similar businesses in the Escondido area to reopen since that will be addressed at the City Council meeting the night before. – Escondido Eats, The Escondido Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the City of Escondido to launch a program devised to help and support local food and beverage businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.
