Graybill Medical Group announced the recent addition of well-known Escondido family physicians, Richard Ricci, MD and Russel Buzard, DO.
Dr. Ricci has joined Graybill’s Escondido Family Medicine Department located at 225 E. 2nd Ave. He brings 30 years of experience providing all aspects of family medicine to residents of Escondido and the surrounding communities. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1981. He completed his Family Practice Residency at the San Bernardino Medical Center (an affiliate of the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine) in 1984. While at SBMC he received the David McKee Award, awarded to the top physician of the residency program. He is a member of the San Diego County Medical Society and the California Medical Association. He is the recipient of multiple awards for excellence in patient care and community service.
Effective August 1, Dr. Buzard will join the team of Family Physicians at El Norte Medical Group, a Graybill affiliated practice, located at 306 W. El Norte Parkway. Dr. Buzard has been dedicated to the health of local families for over 30 years. He received his DO degree in 1973 from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri and was the top student in his class. He was a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi National Honorary Osteopathic Fraternity and the Psi Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Scholastic Honor Society. Dr. Buzard served his internship at Doctor’s Hospital in Tucker, Georgia from 1973 to 1974. He remained at Doctor’s Hospital as a General and Emergency Practitioner and eventually became Chairman of the Department of General Practice. He is a Member of the American Osteopathic Association.
Both doctors are accepting new patients.
