Golf and golf carts have returned to Welk Resorts.
Now that the County of San Diego have allowed golf courses to open for restricted play, it is also allowing some golf cart use for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
Those allowed to use carts include:
Senior citizens over 55 years of age.
Persons of any age with a disability that would prevent them from walking the course.
A spokesman for Welk said, “More than anything, we want you to feel safe at Welk Resorts’ golf courses. Be assured, we’re taking thorough precautions to keep everyone healthy and carts sanitized.”
In order to use a golf cart, patrons must meet the above criteria. “If you do, you can share the golf cart with a member of your household. No additional charge for single-cart use.
Carts are power-washed and pre-sanitized before each round. Your cart will be readily positioned with key turned on with a single-use pencil, waiver, and scorecard,” said the spokesman.
