The Palomar Gem & Mineral Club will hold its 2016 annual show on Saturday April 23,10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday April 24, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the museum at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, 340 N. Escondido Blvd.
Parking is free. There will be dealers selling rock rough, finished stones, jewelry, beads, and other rock related products. Free gem identification, and lapidary and jewelry demonstrations will also be available as well as educational displays. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors.
Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. The proceeds from this show support club activities and enable them to maintain a lapidary shop for member use. Membership is open to the public.
The organization is a non-profit club open to the general public to promote the study of earth sciences.
