Fuente Fever 2019 raises $190K for charity

Carlito Fuente talks about one of the special, exclusive cigar packages that he put together especially for the auction.

The recent 2nd Fuente Fever celebrating the 2nd anniversary of Lord Puffer Tobacconist in Escondido raised $190,000 for the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, which benefits poor communities in the Dominican Republic.

The event started out as a one-day event, but this year Fuente Fever extended for two days in the store. According to Lord Puffer co-owner Angela Yue, “We also did a private charity dinner for cigar family at a mansion estate home in Rancho Santa Fe.”

Cigar loves from all over the world, including as far as Malaysia traveled to Escondido for the event. The leading family of premium cigars since 1912:  the Fuente Family… (Liana, Carlito and Cynthia Fuente) made the trip from Florida for the largest West Coast Fuente event.

Over 400 guests enjoyed smoking, dining and socializing in the 3,000 square foot enclosure and listening to a 6 piece band that flew in from Cuba. Plus a special performance by 10 time Grammy award-winner Arturo Sandoval.

The In-store event allowed customers to have unlimited purchasing of Opus X cigars in variety quantities. Customers had access to all the hard to find Arturo Fuente items. Fuente brought his personal stash of rare cigars that were auctioned off at the event.
