Classical Academy 24 – Holtville 21 – The Caimans (2-2) continue to build some momentum with their second straight victory. Classical outscores the hosts 17-8 in the second half with a fourth-quarter field goal spelling the difference.
Calvin Christian 61 – St. Joseph 30 – The Crusaders remain undefeated at 3-0 as they break the game wide open with a 40-point second half. Fullback Mason Crouch rushes for 173 yards, scores thrice on the ground and also gathers in a 50-yard TD reception. Wesley Salzman accomplishes a notable triple, tallying on a run, catch and interception. QB Matt Lafler gets in on the act with a pair of touchdown tosses. Defensively, Lafler and Salzman have huge games registering 18 total tackles apiece while Jordan Thomsen (16) and Anthony Coseo (12) lend able assistance.
