The California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has rejected a claim that was brought against the campaign of Dara Czerwonka, who is running for the District 3 seat of the Escondido City Council.
The claim was brought by candidate Don Greene, who is also running for the 3rd District seat.
The FPPC has rejected Don Greene’s complaint and closed the file on it.
The Times-Advocate asked Greene to comment on the rejection of his claim. He emailed this statement: “The FPPC notified me of their decision. The agency indicated it was satisfied with Ms. Czerwonka’s campaign filing corrections to the various forms. From the beginning, I asked that potential mistakes in the filings be corrected and that the voters of Escondido be given the proper information. When discussing this with the City Clerk, he confirmed the FPPC was the agency which handled this type of matter. As such, I filed my complaint accordingly. I’m satisfied with the outcome and that the matter is resolved.”
