Four Carson Reading Rooms open at Escondido schools

Rocks Springs Elementary, Conway Elementary, Juniper Elementary and Pioneer Elementary all opened new Reading Rooms last week thanks to the Carson Scholars Fund. The fund, created by U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson and his wife, Candy, create Reading Rooms for children that combat illiteracy and promote an interest in reading. This photo was taken at Pioneer Elementary.
