Florence Mason Sale died February 8, 2018 at the age of 93 Florence was born in Farmington, Illinois to parents Frank and Augusta Mason. All siblings have proceeded her in death.
After high school graduation Florence moved to Norfolk, Virginia to live with a married brother and his family. He owned a roller skating rink. Florence became an instructor and later a professional skater. She married James Gaipo in 1943 and they had a daughter and son.
The son, Timothy James, died in 1981 leaving a wife and five young children. Florence remarried in 1965 to Leland Sale, who had four grown children. Florence was a physical therapist in Norwalk, and Santa Rosa, both in California.
After an accident at work and an operation Mrs. Sale retired. she moved to Escondido in 1992 after her husband died. She lived at Windsor Gardens on Valley Parkway. Mrs. Sale was active in the city as a volunteer for many organizations. She loved to travel and would take trips to visit her many grandchildren in California and Oregon. In 2011 she moved to Pico Rivera to live with her daughter, Tana Aguilera, and her family. Mrs. Sale succumbed to congestive heart failure.
