A new Wingstop has landed in Escondido. The restaurant, which specializes in chicken wings and has 845 locations worldwide recently opened at 1815 E. Valley Pkwy., operated under the ownership of Golden West Wings, LLC.
This will be the tenth location in the San Diego area, as well as the first Wingstop in Escondido.
“We are thrilled to be expanding so quickly in the state of California and we are very proud to be a part of the Wingstop family,” Paula Pitzen, Director ofOperations, told the Times- Advocate. “Wingstop is recognized nationwide as having some of the best chicken wings around, hand-sauced and tossed in big bold flavors. It’s a brand that is being readily and enthusiastically embraced.”
Golden West Wings has maintained several decades of successful restaurant business ownership and operations in both quick service and full service restaurants. Pitzen says Golden West Wings is looking forward to expanding the Wingstop brand in the Escondido community.
With a singular focus on wings, fries andsides, the Wingstop menu features bone-in and boneless chicken wings, as well as chicken tenders, all sauced and tossed in 11 bold and distinctive flavors including Mango Habañero, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan and Original Hot. The wings are paired with freshly-prepared sides, which include hand-cut, seasoned fries, crafted from carefully-selected whole Russet potatoes.
