Wednesday morning Escondido Fire Department received more than $14,000 worth of life-saving equipment, courtesy of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
Donated equipment includes 91 wildland firefighting jackets — a very timely gift as we approach wildfire season. As our readers know, California is the state most susceptible to these natural disasters.
The granted jackets will be on display, showing just how they will be used to protect firefighters in the field, as they work tirelessly to protect their communities.
Some of those in the photos included Mayor Sam Abed, Fire Cheif Rick Vogt, Eduardo Ceballos(franchisee) Norma Peabody, general manager. Also shown is Rorie Johnston, CEO of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce.
