That’s very tragic. So very sorry for the deceased’s family. I see bicyclists ignore the rules of the road often…?? Don’t they know?? And often the same people who drive drunk & lose their license simply switch to riding a bike drunk. Not saying that’s what happened this time, but they need to be careful too. It can’t just be drivers in cars watching out for THEM.

It’s not only bikes, it’s drivers as well. Many run red lights, some speed up trying to get through yellow light. It you are 1/2 way in the intersection on a yellow, it’s the same as running a red light. Another is right hand turns on a red. You need to come to a complete stop BEHIND the white line for 3 seconds. Lastly, speeders! No one drives the speed limit. Escondido would make a bundle if there were more motor jocks out of view. Is there a traffic division anymore? Get out there EPD.
