Fall Grand Avenue Festival coming in October

Naked Juice will give out free samples at the street fair, and is this year’s corporate event sponsor.

From one end of Grand to the other, there is something for everyone!

The Fall Grand Ave Festival on Sunday, October 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., sponsored by the Escondido Chamber of Commerce, will be brimming with local entertainment on two stages featuring talent from professional and not for profit studios as well as high school and elementary performing arts students.

Enjoy live acoustic music at the “Arts and Crafts” corner at Juniper. The Escondido Arts Partnership is hosting the entertainment and activities featuring local musicians and community artists who will have hands on activities for kids and adults.

Corporate event sponsor, Naked Juice will be giving out samples of their healthy and delicious blended drinks.

Stop at the Maple Street Plaza and the Chase Lawn Stages, for community entertainment from local dance groups and high-school performing arts. Challenge yourself with the 24-foot climbing wall on Orange and check out the big red fire truck on Orange Street.

Shopping is always a unique experience at the Grand Avenue Festival, with vendor booths lining both sides of the street. Support the Escondido Jaycees by getting a pancake breakfast at their booth on Orange Street. For lunch and dinner, enjoy a variety of international food at Kalmia and Orange Street food courts. Also, stop in and discover the eclectic businesses on Grand Avenue that are open year ‘round.

The Grand Ave Festival and Street fair is Escondido’s one day largest event. You could literally spend the entire day walking up and down the 12 city blocks that will be roped off and not see the same thing twice. It is truly a pedestrian’s paradise. It’s a day to come out and shop and find some good food and gifts or just chat with your neighbors.

The Grand Ave Festival and Street Fair takes place twice a year on the third Sunday of May and October from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and has been a family tradition since 1989.

The Times-Advocate will be the Chamber’s premier news partner in this event. And they will also be sharing booth space. The location will be announced soon. Stop by and pick up a free paper or sign up for a subscription.
