Escondido Weather – 01/14/2016

Clear conditions with some high clouds from storms passing to the north will dominate the weather through Tuesday / Wednesday,
with temperatures slowly rising each day. Midweek, a trough of low
pressure will bring a chance of what looks to be light showers. The high
pressure ridge to our south continues to deflect storms into Northern
California.
El Nino continues to be strong, although it is slowly
weakening. Sea temperatures are expected to return to normal conditions
by May / June. Until then, it is expected that frequent storms will
continue to track into California.

Fire Danger remains moderate.
Some smoke from controlled prescriptive and pile burns may be seen in
the mountains to our north and east as the Forest Service takes
advantage of the moist conditions to work on fuel reduction projects.
