Escondido police to celebrate “National Night Out Against Crime” Aug. 4



All across America, people celebrate the first Tuesday evening in August as National Night Out Against Crime. The National Association of Town Watch invites communities to join forces to promote police-community partnerships, crime/drug/violence prevention, safety, and neighborhood unity. Over 37 million people in more than 15,000 communities nationwide attend this event.

You and your family are invited to join the Escondido Police Department in celebrating the 31st Annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 4, from 5- 8 p.m. at Grape Day Park in downtown Escondido, 321 N. Broadway.

There will be food, entertainment, giveaways, activities for the family, community resources and a bike rodeo. Bring a helmet and your bike, skate- board or scooter. There will be a focus on crime prevention.
