Escondido PD searching for hit and run suspect

On January 11, 2018 at about 8:44 AM, a delivery driver was struck while walking in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy at 1560 W. Valley Pkwy in Escondido. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the collision. The victim is in stable condition at this time.

The driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene and has not been located. The vehicle may have been taken to a place of repair or parked in a residential neighborhood. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a blue early 2000’s possible 2005 two-door Ford Focus hatchback or similar. The top photograph is the suspect vehicle at the time of the collision which shows damage to the windshield and hood. The second photo shows a vehicle of the same make, model, year and color of the suspect vehicle.
