A note about a new club. We noticed that there is now a 4-H Club called “56 Ranchers 4-H.” We contacted them to get some information about them since they did so well this year at the fair. Denise Barnes, Community Club Leader, answered us back. She wrote: “There are two 4-H groups in Escondido, ours and Escondido 4-H (but they are dissolving). So we will be the only 4-H club in Escondido for 2018-2019. Most of our members live in Escondido but we also have a family from Valley Center. We currently have 16 members exhibiting livestock at the San Diego County Fair for market week. Our club has an emphasis on livestock – small and large animals but we also have projects in sewing and arts & crafts. We will be adding projects for horses and shooting sports when our new year starts in August. The kids have done really well at the fair this year!”
