Escondido families are being sought to be hosts to international high school exchange students.
International high school exchange students are coming to study in the San Diego County area, including Escondido, during the 2016-2017 school year.
These students will integrate themselves into a local family with the goal of experiencing American culture as an American high school student. In turn they will provide families insight into their own culture.
OCEAN, a non-profit student exchange organization, is helping facilitate these relationships. They have been doing so for several years, and are looking to connect new host families in the area with some exchange students.
Two of the students OCEAN needs host families for are coming from France and Brazil. Their French student is a 16-year-old girl who loves sports. She plays basketball and loves sailing. She’s used to helping her parents at home by cleaning her room, cooking and gardening. The student from Brazil is a family-oriented 15-year-old boy who loves playing basketball. He also enjoys playing the guitar and video games. They are both excellent students and will have their own spending money and health insurance.
The host family provides a separate bed, family meals and a loving and safe environment. If your family is interested in being a host family call Lilian Clemente at 480-246-1295 or send an email to email@example.com. For more information visit ocean-intl.org/
