Emergency pipeline repair begins on North Hale Avenue

Emergency repair for a 24-inch pipeline on North Hale Avenue between North Tulip Street and the North County Transit District railroad tracks began on Tuesday, January 24, and is anticipated to be completed by February 10, according to a statement issued this week by the City of Escondido.

Motorists should expect delays along North Hale Avenue. The inside traffic lanes will be used for the construction zone. Therefore, traffic through this area will be reduced to single lanes on each side of North Hale Avenue and right-hand turns from North Tulip Street onto North Hale Avenue will be restricted due to a limited turn radius.

The work is scheduled Monday ¬– Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but may also involve extended work hours such as longer days, weekend work and nighttime shifts as needed to expedite the repair.

Motorists should observe warning signs, including No Parking signs, along the construction route and slow down while driving through the construction zone.
