
The Elizabeth Hospice will hold the 7th annual Wings of Hope Butterfly Release on Sunday, May 1 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido located at 340 N. Escondido Blvd. in the Salon Room.
Community members of all ages are invited to attend and to sponsor butterflies in memory or in honor of loved ones. Wings of Hope will include music, inspirational readings, and a poignant release of butterflies as memories are shared among family members and friends.
Attendance to this family event is free and open to the community. Registration is required. A $35 donation is appreciated for each butterfly to be released. All donations benefit the region’s oldest and largest nonprofit hospice provider, the Elizabeth Hospice.
No prior hospice affiliation is necessary to attend Wings of Hope.
The Elizabeth Hospice is the “the region’s oldest and largest nonprofit hospice provider of medical, emotional and spiritual support to the seriously ill and their families in San Diego and Inland Empire,” according to a press release. The Hospice has been operating since 1978, and offers counseling and other services through its center to San Dieog residents of all ages..
