Elizabeth Hospice helps honor veterans at Cypress Court Escondido

Elizabeth Hospice Chaplain Frederick Johnson, USAF veteran, officiated at a veteran pinning ceremony to recognize and thank more than 40 veterans who live at Cypress Court for Veterans Day.

The veterans served during WWII, Korea and peacetime. Navy and Marine active duty military personnel participated in the recognition

ceremony. Active duty volunteers presented each veteran with a certificate of appreciation and an American flag lapel pin.

After the ceremony, the veterans had an opportunity to share part of his or her life story with the Navy chaplain, sailor and marines that joined the group for the afternoon
