Eisenhower’s Premonition

~ Guest Opinion

In March of 2017 I wrote about the eerie premonition former President Dwight Eisenhower had regarding what he called a “Shadow Government.” Here we are in 2018 and the reality of just such a cabal of federal employees and non-elected appointees in very powerful positions is being unmasked. It is more commonly referred to as “The Deep State.”

We are beginning to see just what Obama was doing, which was to effect a quiet coup, gradually transforming our democratic republic into a socialist federal aristocracy of elite globalists appointed by like-minded Progressives without voters understanding what was really happening. Simultaneously our major institutions of learning are proselytizing Marxist ideology to millions of eager young students across all cultures.

In “The Alligators Are Flashing Their Teeth” on my blog I wrote:

“The cascading existential conflict between the elites of Washington and their de facto allies in the major media channels facing a nationalist movement to wrestle power back to the people was predicted by President Dwight Eisenhower 56 years ago, in his farewell address.

“Eisenhower foreshadowed the ‘Shadow Government’ profile emerging from the WikiLeaks revelations of insider wiretapping, email and other online hacking, influence by transnational corporations and military industrial business interests, and the massive power of the news media culture, empowered by enormous digital technological advances.”

The election of Donald Trump has brought sunlight to this criminal activity. But the Deep State is fighting back.

Eisenhower wrote:

“…The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present — and is gravely to be regarded.

“Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite. It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system — ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.

“…As we peer into society’s future, we — you and I, and our government — must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow.”

The man was thinking about the precise situation we find ourselves in with the revelations about top Obama appointees at the DOJ and the FBI colluding to affect the outcome of the presidential election, to hide evidence of malfeasance in Benghazi, and other major situations like Plutonium One, the Iran Nuclear Deal , ad nauseam.

My conclusions? Trump may have accidentally uncovered the most significant threat to the future of Americanism that has ever existed. And if it was not on his agenda before the election, it most certainly is now, because survival of the concept of representative democracy is on the line.

I have a couple of questions for anyone who thinks this is just a diversion or an effort to undermine the Mueller Russian investigation:

Do you approve of our national institutions of investigation using their power to influence the election process?

Do you approve of the leadership of those institutions using their offices to achieve personal gain?

If you don’t approve, then what should happen when they abuse their offices?

The threats to our democratic republic are not coming from the right. It is coming from a cabal of Progressive elitists  embedded in the bureaucracy of government and the halls of government contractors and their compatriots who feed off of each other’s influence. Their sheer numbers are enormous. They are nearing a majority, and that fact directly threatens the influence of all of the rest of us. And their lifestyle is funded primarily by taxpayers. And they live like aristocrats, collecting huge five, six and even seven figure salaries, Cadillac health care and lifetime pensions! They are Orwellian bureaucrats!

This is all very disturbing and messy, but so is chemotherapy. Let’s just hope the Trump treatment cures the disease.
