EAA 2017 Kids Kaleidoscope Winners Announced

Escondido Art Association members, parents and students Saturday, April 8 gathered together at the Awards Ceremony and Reception at the Artists Gallery on Grand Avenue in Escondido to honor the Kids Kaleidoscope art students.

The Kids Kaleidoscope competition is sponsored by the EAA and a donation from Bjarne and Suzanne Nicolaisen and salutes young artists ages 5 – 18 who compete for cash prizes and ribbons in three age categories:  elementary school; middle school; and high school.   A total of 46 students took part in the competition.

Elementary School

  • 1st Place, Brianna Lindsey
  • 2nd Place, Taryn Masson
  • 3rd Place, Alana Brouwer

Middle School

  • 1st Place, Nathan Segel
  • 2nd Place, Sami Milller
  • 3rd Place, Audrey Hobson
  • Hon. Mention, Chloe Kieu

High School

  • 1st Place, Sissons Xu
  • 2nd Place, Olivia Jolley
  • 3rd Place, Emma Vander Pol

  1. Thank you for publishing the Kids Kaleidoscope article and picture of the winners in the Times-Advocate. Parents always love to see their kid’s accomplishments posted in their local newspaper. As an all-volunteer non-profit art association, the EAA strives to give back to the community that we have been a part of since 1956.
