She volunteered for countless organizations, including The Downey Rose Float Organization, Interfaith Action for the Aging, Musical Theater West, Long Beach Police K9 Corp, and after moving to Georgia in 2005, she helped at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and the Lions Club in Woodstock, Georgia.
Mrs. Payne is preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry Culp, her aunt Judy Bishop, and her wonderful mother, Brenda Spare.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband Michael and son Alex of Woodstock, Georgia; sisters Theresa Proia and Beverly Carr of Dover, New Hampshire; sister Rhonda Denton of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; cousin Joseph Bishop serving in the U.S. Navy in Naples, Italy, and many loving nieces and nephews.
