Reports filed last week with the San Diego County Registrar of Voters show that Escondido City Councilmember Olga Diaz raised $106,199 since launching her campaign for County Supervisor in late February. Diaz, who received more than 540 different contributions, had $97,299 in cash on hand at the close of the June 30 reporting window.
In response to the report, Diaz stated:
“I’m humbled by the financial support our campaign has earned from hundreds of friends and neighbors who are ready for meaningful change in San Diego County. We are building momentum every day, and I’m confident that we will have the resources needed to get our message out to voters in every corner of the 3rd District.”
Around 75% of the contributions to Diaz’s campaign came from donations of $200 or less, and 93% of the donations came from within San Diego County.
