A memorial will be held June 13 for Dana Behymer, a 33-year resident of Valley Center who died suddenly on March 18, 2017 of Legionaires disease at Palomar Medical Center. Legionaires is a very rare condition.

She was born in Los Angeles on Friday the 13th, but always considered it lucky. She turned every single thing in her life into a positive and was known for her smile. When she was growing up, her nickname was Smiley. As an adult, she never lost the smile, she was an irreplaceable friend that lit up every room!

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to Lindy, Lynda, Shelby, Courtney, Dominic and Sienna.

A synchronized swimmer at Beverly Hills High,she  graduated LA High and enjoyed small town living in Valley Center for the last 33 years. A memorial will be held on June 13, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido. For more information email
