Cruisin’ Grand ends another successful summer run

Photos By Lenny Kerbs

The six-month long celebration of summer and classic cars ended with the long-awaited “Nitro Night,” the one Friday when Grand Avenue is blocked off so that nitrogen powered race cars can take it over.

Cruisin’ Grand is the largest car celebration of its type west of the Mississippi. It attracts several hundred thousand visitors to the city each year, and quite a large segment of them were at the final night.

Crusin’ Grand will return next May.
