City staff rescues critters

A city worker hands over a box of rescued animals collected from the storm drain.

Last week city of Escondido staff worked with the San Diego Humane Society to rescue four coyote pups and 11 ducklings who found their way into the city’s storm drain system. This brings the month’s totals to: four confined space rescues, 31 ducklings saved, and four coyote pups freed and in the safe hands of the San Diego Humane Society.
