City seeks volunteers for boards, commissions



The Escondido City Council is seeking volunteers to serve on the City’s boards and commissions. Terms for the unscheduled vacancies listed below will all expire on March 31, 2018, except for the Community Services youth member, which is a one-year term.

The qualifications to serve are that you work or reside within the geographic boundaries of the General Plan. All board and commission members are required to file annual Conflict of Interest statements.

The Building Advisory & Appeals Board has one vacancy. Meetings are held as needed at City Hall.

The Community Services is looking for a youth member, age 16 or older. Meetings are held quarterly, on the fourth Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall.

The Personnel Board of Review has two vacancies. Meetings are held as needed at City Hall.

The Planning Commission has one vacancy. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Commissioners are paid a stipend of $100 per meeting attended. The requirement for this member is to reside within the City Limits.

The Public Art Commission has two vacancies. Meetings are held quarterly at City Hall, on the second Monday of the month at 3 p.m.
