According to City Manager Clay Phillips City of Escondido water customers reduced their water consumption by 32% in the month of June, surpassing the city’s goal of 20%. The regional numbers looked good too. Within the County Water Authority the reduction was approximately 26%.
The city is in the midst of replacing potable irrigation lines with recycled water in the Centre City Parkway medians by the end of July or early August. The project was broken down into sections between major intersections.
