The church will host CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training classes beginning on Sunday, March 1 from 1– 4 p.m., with continuing instruction each consecutive Sunday afternoon in March, (March 8, March 15, March 22,) and concluding with the graduation and certification program on Sunday, March 29 from 1- 5 p.m. This training is being provided free of charge by the Valley Center Fire Protection District, and will cover multiple types of disaster situations and how to provide the best relief and support for each type.

Additionally, the church welcomes everyone to join them in worshiping God this Sabbath (Saturday). Services will begin with Bible study classes at 9:30 a.m. for all ages. The sacred Worship Service begins at 11 a.m. Previous sermons are posted on our website They will offer you complimentary Bible studies in English or Spanish if you would like a deeper understanding of what the Bible teaches and to know about last day events. The Welcoming Committee is having a Welcome Reception Saturday evening for new parishioners and their families on February 28 at 6:30 p.m. after the 5:30 p.m. evening Mass. Heavy appetizers and drinks will be served. We are happy to welcome all the new families to our St. Stephen’s community. Our mission is to lead people closer to Christ and be people of the Good News!

Coming soon is The Bible and Prayer, a 6-part Bible Study from Dr. Scott Hahn and the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. This study will investigate the rich tradition of prayer in the Church and how it is scripturally based. This is a great way to enhance your Lenten journey and prepare for the great Easter celebration. It will run on 7 consecutive Saturdays from 9 – 11 a.m. beginning March 7 to April 25. Dark on April 4 for Holy Saturday. Registration is $10, which includes snacks, coffee and juice. Materials are $10 for the workbook and $10 for Prayer Works.
