St. Stephen Catholic Church
• St. Stephen Catholic Church will be hosting a public square Rosary around noon on Oct. 10 at the corner of Cole Grade and Valley Center Roads.
The congregation will be praying The Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima at the Southwest corner lot.
The church says that water will be provided, but recommends that guests bring their own hats and sunscreen.
• St. Stephen Catholic Church will be hosting a country Western dinner and dance at 5:30 p.m. after Mass.
The dinner will consist of a choice of BBQ, ribs or chicken, popcorn and hot dogs. There will also be line dancing, lessons and face painting.
The event is open to the public
• St. Stephen’s will also be hosting a High School youth broomball event at 9:45 to 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Escondido Ice-O-Plex.
A carpool from St. Stephen’s is available at 9:45 p.m. in the Youth Room.
The cost is $10.
• St. Stephen’s church also hosts a juniors, seniors, college and young adults event led by intern Chase Crouse.
The event will start at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19 in the Youth Room. The group will meet once a month.
The church reminds everyone that their interns are available each Monday at 5:30 p.m. for all who want to study.
Emmanuel Faith to host work conference
Emmanuel Faith Church will be hosting conferences from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 and from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The conferences, which include speakers talking about balancing work, life and faith, will be held at the Emmanuel Faith Church in Escondido.
The guest speakers will include the owner Paul Saber, the owner of a local Panera Bread and CEO of Manna Development Group, and Mike Fleming, CEO of Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants.
The cost is $35 per person and will include meals by Panera, Chick-fil-A, and ice cream by Farrell’s.
A childcare program is available for those attending free of charge.
