ST. STEPHEN CATHOLIC CHURCH

Friends of the Poor Walk begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 12 at Adam’s Park. Walk a Mile in their shoes and raise funds for the Food Pantry which serves our less fortunate families, friends and neighbors in Valley Center and Pauma Valley. There will be free T-shirts for the first 100 walkers and free breakfast burritos and fellowship after the walk. For more information, contact Chuck at 760-638-1300. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 12 for Dr. Bob Polito, a long time Valley Center resident.

Women’s Bible Study begins again at 9:30 a.m. each Wednesday morning in the library. Dawn Patrol is each Wednesday before school. There is Bible Study in Spanish. Bible Study continues at the home of John Boyd. Adult Faith Formation continues with Gloria each Saturday morning.

High School Youth meets now at 7 p.m. each Monday. Middle School Youth Group begins at 7 p.m. Monday, September 28 in the youth room.

Join the group for a 10-week smallgroup retreat, Consoling the Heart of Jesus, beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19 in the Youth Room. Learn the keys to the great sanctity of the saints and have all the tools you’ll need to become a saint.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) officially begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 22 for anyone with an interest in the Catholic Faith. Meet in the Youth Room with your questions.

Faith Formation – enroll now if you have Kindergartener that will join the CCD program. CCD begins Wednesday, September 23. English K-5 classes are 3:30–4:45 p.m.

Ralph Shoppers – now is the time to register or re-register your Ralph’s card. Either go on-line to www.Ralphs.com or stop by the SCRIP table for a bar code to be scanned at the store. This needs to be done just once a year. Your shopping helps the parish.
