Chamber will celebrate “Havana Nights” Friday

The Escondido Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 107th annual installation and awards dinner Friday with the Cuban-themed “Havana Nights,” at the California Center for the Art, Escondido. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and appetizers, followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m.  The evening ends at 9 p.m.

The evening is being advertised as “An evening of cocktails and Latin infused food while listening to the rhythm of Cuba, as we honor excellence in our business community.”

And, of course, being Cuban-themed, there will be drinks such as Cuba Libres (rum and Coke) and Mojitos, with live music provided by the Latin sounds of  “Jimmy & Enrique,” with a special live demonstration by artist Stephen Fishwick.

The Viejitos Auto Club will be bringing two vintage vehicles, which will be parked at the entrance for photo ops.

Dinner entrees include Flat Iron Steak, Seared Salmon or Vegetable Napoleon followed by the awards presentation and installation.
