Celebrate the holidays at Westfield North County Mall

The holidays are here and Westfield North County has an array of festive holiday events to celebrate the season. Join them at Santa’s workshop for crafty gift-making or at the holiday lounge to refuel in-between festive shopping this season. Here’s a closer look at what’s happening at the center:

Visit Santa (Nov. 16 – Dec. 24)

The holiday season is a little extra magical for shoppers when they get to visit Santa! Santa will be available for family photos in Center Court, Level 1. Plan a jolly visit in advance and skip the lines by making a reservation for photos at this address: www.westfield.com/northcounty/events/all-events/photos-with-santa/50312

Santa’s Workshop (Nov. 18 from 9 – 11 a.m.)

Adding a little extra magic to the season, join Santa in his crafty gift-making endeavors as he brings his merry workshop to Westfield North County! With the help from our friends at Escondido-based California Center for the Arts, families will have an opportunity to create personalized gifts for the special people on their holiday giving list, while also enjoying live music, tasty treats, kids’ fashion and other special surprises.

Holiday Lounge (Nov. 22 – Dec. 25)

A Holiday Lounge will be brought to life in an inline space on Level 2 near Target, where shoppers can enjoy a little downtime and refuel during holiday shopping. Discover special retailer offers, customer engagement touch points and enter-to-win opportunities.

Operation: Santa Salute (Dec. 1)

Occurring all day, Westfield North County will honor Veterans and Military families by inviting them to share in the Santa experience and receive a complimentary 5×7 Santa photo. Additional festivities may include live music, tasty treats, kid’s activities and giveaways.

Sensory-Friendly Santa (Dec. 2 from 8 – 10 a.m.)

In partnership with Autism Society San Diego, Totally Thomas and San Diego Children’s Museum, special needs families in the community are invited to share a compassionate and welcoming sensory-friendly photo experience with Santa, during which surrounding distractions will be muted to create a more compatible environment – lighting, music, escalators, digital monitors, etc. This magical experience will feature coloring activities, special giveaways and tasty bites.

Hanukkah Menorah Lighting (Dec. 2 from  5 – 6 p.m.)

Santa won’t be the only holiday tradition celebrated at the center this season. Enjoy warm festivities around the lighting of the first menorah candle in honor of Hanukkah, in partnership with Chabad of Poway. Following this celebration, the menorah will continue to live on at Westfield North County with an additional candle lit everyday of Hanukkah.

Holiday Craft & Sip (Dec. 6 from 6 – 8 p.m.)

Adults 21+ are invited to discover the magic of Santa during a relaxed evening of merry moments, gift making, giveaways, sips and bites, music and festive selfies in a lively ambiance after a long day at the workshop. All proceeds benefit community partner California Center for the Arts Escondido.

Escondido Police Department Holiday Toy Drive

In partnership with the Escondido Police Department, Westfield North County will host a special toy drive to collect new, unwrapped toys to bring holiday cheer to local children and families who have been victimized by crime or other hardships. The toy drop box will be located adjacent to the EPD squad car inside the center.
