Calvin Christian School in Escondido has envisioned having an auditorium for a long time. In September of 2015, the school broke ground on the Heritage Center Chapel & Auditorium. On October 10, 2017, 6:30 p.m. the school community will gather for the dedication of the new building.
The Heritage Center dedication fits with Calvin Christian School’s 2017/18 school year theme, “cultivating community,” celebrating a new space where students, extended family, and the community can meet as one.
This new facility will seat up to 600 people and includes classroom and meeting space. It will provide a venue especially for concerts, musicals, plays, art shows, and school chapels and will be located on the Junior High and High School campus. The entire cost of the building, $4.7 million, was raised from donors from the school and local community. The first donation was given 10 years ago by the Class of 2007 as their senior class gift to the school.
The dedication of the Heritage Center will begin with a short program at 6:30 p.m. followed by a reception and tours of the building. The community is welcome to join this celebration.
