Broadway Puppies cited again

San Diego Humane Society’s Humane Law Enforcement issued new citations over the weekend to Broadway Puppies in Escondido. The pet store was allegedly found selling puppies despite the Humane Society’s enforcement on May 27, 2020, when they were ordered to suspend all sales of pets until they could prove the animals were obtained from a public animal control agency or shelter, society for the prevention of cruelty to animals shelter, humane society shelter, or rescue group that is in a cooperative agreement with at least one private or public shelter pursuant to Section 31108, 31752, or 31753 of the Food and Agricultural Code.

Broadway Puppies in Escondido Saturday, May 30, was cited on four counts of violating Health and Safety Code, section 122354.5, California’s ban on the retail sale of dogs, cats and rabbits (commonly referred to as AB 485). It also received citations for selling unaltered puppies.
