Escondido SATURDAY Market, Held every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Grand Ave. North County’s newest artisan market in historic Downtown Escondido. Come for unique products and fresh produce in a hip urban market.

Escondido Farmers Market, Tuesdays 2:30-6 p.m., Year-Round, event is held on Grand Ave. between Juniper and Kalmia Street in downtown Escondido. Local, farm fresh produce. Local flowers and plants. Arts and crafts from area artisans.

Rincón Literario (The Literary Corner), Escondido Public Library’s Bilingual Book Discussion Group, will meet on Saturday, February 28, 2015, from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. in the Library’s Turrentine Room. Has visto a Maria? / Have You Seen Marie? by Sandra Cisneros, is the selected book for February. Participants discuss books bilingually, in English and Spanish, enabling them to enjoy great literature in either language. Rincón Literario also provides an opportunity to improve either English or Spanish language skills.

Spring Storytime Programs at the Escondido Public Library offers storytime programs this spring designed for all pre-K age groups: babies, toddlers, and prekindergarten children. Storytime programs are fun for kids and filled with songs, stories, finger-plays, flannel board presentations, puppets, and craft activities that encourage the development of early literacy and reading skills. Escondido Library’s spring storytime schedule includes: Rhymes and Reading with Mrs. Cox Mondays, 11 a.m.,Turrentine Room, Ages 4-5. Mrs. Cox tells stories and leads activities to help preschoolers get ready for kindergarten.
