Workshop in Escondido to teach business basics—
A workshop on Business Plan Basics will take place at the Escondido Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 24 at the Escondido Chamber of Commerce, 720 N. Broadway.
The free 90-minute workshop will cover start-up business people need to know about writing a business plan, components of the plan and the advantages of creating a business plan.
Senior transport service seeking volunteer drivers—
On the Go, a program of Jewish Family Service, transports older adults and in 2016, the service will be expanded to seniors in the 92025 downtown Escondido zip code. JFS is looking for volunteer drivers to provide rides for seniors.
Drivers receive mileage reimbursement and supplemental auto insurance, provided by JFS. Drivers can fill out a volunteer application at www.jfssd.org/driver or phone (858) 637-3050. Training will be provided.
Escondido Republican group to host events—
Escondido Republican Women, Federated will host several events on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The events will include a book club, a business meeting and a luncheon, starting at 10 a.m.
The events will take place at Cocina Del Charro at 890 W. Valley Parkway in Escondido.
