Andrew Kish, 40

was a beloved local teacher

Andrew Kish, 40, passed on December 26, 2019 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mr. Kish was born on November 19, 1979 to Darlene Anderson and Dale Kish. He has five sisters and one brother. Christine Bernard from New York, Rachel Kish, Susan Kish and Sara Jones from Valley Center, Sheena Kish from Canada and Kurt Kish from Florida.

Andrew Kish attended San Pasqual High School in Escondido and studied Psychology at California State University, San Marcos. He had an extremely successful career as a teacher at Light and Life Christian School, Grace Lutheran Christian School and Escondido Christian School. His students absolutely adored him and he was well known for his witty sense of humor and for continuing to mentor his past students into their adult lives.

Mr. Kish and his family recently moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho to set out on new opportunities and adventures for their  family.

Mr. Kish is survived by his wife, Kim Reichard Kish whom he married on December 27, 2003 in Escondido, and their three sons Mattias, Magnus and Axel who will all greatly miss their father and all the incredible adventures they had together.

Memorial services will be announced in the coming months.

    I’m in total shock my son has known mr. Kish since he attended lite and life Christian school and presently he Attends grace lutheran and loved mr. Kis. He was a very nice, funny, caring person who will be missed by us and all who knew him rest in peace mr. Kish we will miss you dearly and we will never ever forget you!!!

    Steve told me about Andrew yesterday – what a tragedy. Steve said he knew Andrew pretty well in the early years – they played music together. His Mom knew my wife Sylvia at EFCC. I have some recent tragedy myself – Sylvia died almost three years ago due to a cycling accident – we were married for 52 years and had five children.

    Let me know if there will be a memorial service here in Escondido.

    Mr.kish was my bible teacher for three years and I loved him. He made bible interesting and fun. He will be greatly missed by me and my classmates and we wish the kish family the best as they get through this awful time.

    Andrew was not only my teacher at Light and Life but also amazing friend and mentor. We went fishing and hunting on many occasions and rocked out to punk music. He will always hold a place in my heart.

    I remember playing kick ball with Andrew when I was in 3rd grade and I always wanted to be on his team because he was the best.

    Mr. Kish used to work at my school, until he moved after I left. He was always so caring and I could tell he loved kids and working with them. I hope he lives on I heaven as he believed I God in his life. I wish his family hope for the future.

    Wow i am in udder disbelief. i’m in shock! Mr. Kish was my 6th grade teacher. Life goes so fast. I can’t believe he passed away. He was so funny, so caring and always made his students laugh.
